Kaizen Academy is the Westside's home for Muay Thai — a dedicated striking program on the Lincoln Boulevard corridor in the heart of Venice. Plenty of big-box gyms bolt a kickboxing class onto a crowded group-fitness schedule; we teach Muay Thai the way it's meant to be learned: small classes, real technique, and a coach who knows your name.

No experience is required. Our Muay Thai classes in Venice are beginner-friendly by design. The curriculum starts with fundamentals — stance, footwork, basic strikes — so new students can follow along from day one.
Muay Thai membership at Kaizen Academy is $115 per month with no contract. You can also add BJJ with our Hybrid membership at $265/month. Your first class is always free — no commitment required.

Absolutely. Muay Thai is one of the most complete full-body workouts available. It builds cardio, coordination, strength, and mental toughness — all while learning a practical striking art. Most students notice significant changes in fitness within the first few weeks.
Muay Thai is called "the art of eight limbs" because it uses fists, elbows, knees, and kicks — eight points of contact versus two in boxing or four in kickboxing. It's a more complete striking system that includes clinch work and is widely used by MMA fighters for this reason.
